Says Laura, "As creatives, we have standards. I don't know if you've looked around lately, but a lot of logos aren't living up to them. But before you sign up to overhaul an identity, take a step back and consider factors outside the design. Sometimes even the very worst logos have a following. Is it worth stirring the pot?"

Currently Director of Brand and Marketing at Cyanna Education Services, a company dedicated to helping educators and related agencies serve students more effectively, Laura Rees has over fifteen years of brand and marketing experience. With a background in copywriting, she’s helped clients large and small talk with their audiences in compelling ways. Before Cyanna, Laura taught copywriting at the Columbus College of Art and Design, worked as an Associate Creative Director at Ologie, a Columbus-Ohio based branding agency, and worked independently as a freelance copywriter. She’s lead brand projects for a variety of clients. Some of her favorites include the Food Network, Marquette University, and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
