Holly Schlaack, a luncheon speaker who will touch your heart, is author of the book Invisible Kids, Marcus Feisel's Legacy: One short life, one terrible system and 12 things YOU can do to improve the lives of foster children. A former case worker and child advocate in the courts, today Holly travels nationwide as the founder of a start-up charity, the Invisible Kids Project, a 501(C)(3) that provides practical solutions to a broken foster care system. All proceeds from our holiday raffle will go to that charity, as will any proceeds from Holly's book sales that day. Equally important, you will learn about an organization that needs our help in spreading the word about a very important cause. In Holly's own words, "The answer is so basic it seems too simple. We know the most important thing a child needs to grow and thrive is a healthy, loving relationship with a healthy, loving caregiver." So, the goal of the Invisible Kids Project is: To change the system by elevating a child’s right to a nurturing, protective relationship above the rights of anyone else.  With Holly's guidance, we can all help make it happen!
