The American Advertising Federation's Silver Medal Award, established in 1959, is the highest advertising honor bestowed on an individual by an AAF-affiliated club. The award is given for contributions in his or her company; creative ability as demonstrated through a consistent, high degree of original thinking; contributions to the general advancement of the stature and standards of the advertising profession; as well as contributions to the community shown through activity in civic, religious or other groups dedicated to human or social welfare.
